As a Danish farmer-owned dairy company, operating on a global scale, with familiar brands that we use every day, Arla Foods has strong drivers around being closer to nature, operating ethically and remaining agile in a business that continually balances commodity, brand and logistics…

Our time with Arla Foods has taken us far and wide, both in geography and ambition, creating both structured development programmes and business-critical bespoke projects.

We started off by designing and delivering a global programme for the company’s leadership talent development before branching out into selective contributions for its elite F15 graduate programme.

When Arla Foods embarked upon building the world’s first carbon-neutral dairy, we coached the senior leadership team through the complex transition from working on a construction site to a fully operational workplace.

Most recently we have been supporting the development of Arla Solutions, the IT and project management division, as it transforms to agile working. This has involved us in running whole-group conferences, extensive leadership team coaching sessions and several Action Learning Sets in addition to providing personalised support for key individuals.

The Royal Mail Group has a strong tradition of professional development and we were delighted when it reached out and asked us to take a look at its graduate development programme…

Involving up to 150 graduates per year, on a two-year programme, spanning five modules and three work placements, this is a significant investment by RMG in its future leadership talent and we were determined to create something amazing.

We started by completely re-thinking what the graduate experience needed to be, building in components of development in an engaging, creative and involving way. Each module builds logically on the previous ones, weaving together strands of leadership development, influencing skills, change management and personal efficacy. With bespoke simulations, actors, drumming, go-carts and an organisational raid, this development programme is without parallel.

For RMG, attracting and retaining graduate talent is essential to help lead the cultural transition the organisation is going through. This growing cohort of confident, informed and connected graduates is the catalyst for new leadership behaviours as this amazing company responds to a rapidly changing market.

We are very proud to partner with them on their continuing journey.

and with multiple stakeholders – to engage and build the promised solution. We were involved from the beginning, helping project leaders and technicians create a common strategy, road map and agreed underpinning behaviours to complement the great technical skills at hand.

This was going to be a high-pressure environment and it was essential that this diverse group could work together in a way that was robust, efficient and collaborative. Through a number of workshops, conferences and smaller coaching groups, our team helped their team to flourish – pre-empting the subtle construction of silos and creating a common language that enabled them to share ideas and resolve conflicting priorities quickly.

Every now and again, an invitation comes along to work on something truly inspirational, and for us, this British Council Australia-funded programme, completely fits into this category…

Set up as an ambitious leadership development opportunity for indigenous Australians working in the cultural sector, Accelerate has, over several years, enabled a range of artists, directors, curators and choreographers to expand their leadership skills, develop their practice and take advantage of new international connections.

We had the privilege of designing a series of intensive leadership programmes in various locations across Australia before providing a range of coaching and development support activities for participants whilst on secondment and research visits to the UK. This programme had a transformational impact for the participants, with many subsequently taking on prominent and influential leadership roles in their chosen fields and communities.
